Hello,
Thank you for your email.
We have conducted an exhaustive review of the situation and have taken action based on this investigation.
Having reviewed the matter, Brian Hastings and Cole South were not found to have breached our site rules in any way. It is fully acceptable for players to discuss strategy, and in this instance these players did discuss hands, an opponent and a strategy to play against this opponent. However, when the games are played there was only one player making decisions regarding the hand.
Based on our findings, the sole breach of our site rules was by Brian Townsend who was found in violation of our rules regarding datamining. While he did violate our rules, he is receiving a punishment that is harsher than our standard response in these situations. In cases of players found to have violated our policy regarding datamining our standard response is to issue an initial warning regarding the violation before taking further action. In this instance Brian Townsend will additionally be stripped of his status as a Full Tilt Red Pro for a period of one month as we hold our Pros to the highest standard when enforcing our rules.
We now consider this matter closed and all parties involved in the situation have been made aware of our decision
and this one too
Hello,
Thank you for your enquiry on this matter.
Full Tilt Poker takes breaches of our site rules extremely seriously. However, we take differing degrees of action against an account dependant on the violation. In this instance Brian Townsend was treated in exactly the same manner as we treat a regular player who violates this policy with the additional penalty of the revocation of his status as a Red Pro for a period of one month.
We appreciate your interest in the matter however our decision regarding this case if final.
